Product description
A drug trolley is a mobile medicine cabinet used for ward rounds in teaching hospitals and medical college wards. It brings every patient's medicines to the bedside in one organised unit, so nurses spend less time walking back to the store and more time with patients.
A typical model has twelve drawers arranged in two banks of two columns, giving separate space for each bed or for different types of medicine. Each drawer front carries a label slot so the contents can be marked clearly. The drawers can be locked, either with one central lock or with individual locks, so medicines stay secure when the trolley is left in a corridor or ward.
The body is made from powder-coated steel, ABS or stainless steel, all of which are easy to wipe down and disinfect between rounds. A top tray with a raised rim holds charts, a pill crusher or a water jug without things sliding off. A push handle on one side and four swivel castors, two of them with brakes, let one person move the trolley smoothly and park it safely.
