Product description
An instrument trolley is a stainless-steel trolley used to lay out surgical and examination instruments close to the patient. It is a standard item in operation theatres, procedure rooms, dressing rooms, labour rooms and OPDs of a medical college hospital.
A common design has two flat stainless-steel shelves on a square-tube stainless-steel frame. The top shelf works as the instrument table, while the lower shelf holds trays, drapes and supplies. Guard rails on three sides stop instruments and bowls from sliding off when the trolley is moved, and the open front keeps the top shelf easy to reach.
Stainless steel is chosen because it resists rust, survives repeated cleaning with hospital disinfectants and keeps a smooth surface that does not trap dirt. Four swivel castors, usually two with brakes, allow the trolley to be positioned exactly where the surgeon or nurse needs it and held firmly in place.
