Key dates
| Step | Date in NMC's documents |
|---|---|
| Part A (main application and fee) opens | 8 October 2026 |
| Part A last date | 30 November 2026, 11:59 PM in the public notice; NMC's covering letter says 31 December 2026 |
| Part B (minimum-standards compliance and assessment data) | 1 November to 31 December 2026 |
| Payment reconciliation (fee paid but not credited) | 4 December 2026 in the notice; 5 January 2027 in the covering letter |
The two documents of 8 October 2026 give different Part A dates. Plan to submit Part A by 30 November 2026 and watch NMC's website for a correction. Part A cannot be changed once it is submitted.
Who can apply
The notice asks applicants to say whether the sponsoring body is a society, trust, company, university or other eligible entity. Each member must declare any link with other medical colleges, and a hospital attached to one college cannot be attached to another.
Documents asked for
- Registration documents: bye-laws, memorandum and articles, or trust deed.
- Consent of Affiliation from a university, in NMC's format, valid on the day of application (it lapses after one application).
- Financial documents: three years' audited balance sheets, bank authorisation letters, and a chartered accountant's solvency certificate issued within 90 days before the last date.
- Land and building documents, building completion, fire safety and occupancy certificates.
- Hospital documents: registration, blood bank licence, AERB, pollution control and biomedical waste papers, bed strength, OPD data.
- A department-wise list of medical, scientific and allied equipment, with architectural plans and service details.
- Geo-tagged photographs of the college and hospital showing the name of the institution. Photos found to be altered, including with AI, lead to rejection.
- Faculty details, an undertaking on a ₹100 stamp paper, and an undertaking for a corpus fund (amount set by MARB).
The notice's list of documents does not include the state Essentiality Certificate, which the 2026-27 notice required. Confirm the position with NMC and your state before you apply.
No “work in progress”
Infrastructure, departments and statutory requirements must be complete and operational on the date of submission. Anything incomplete or under construction is not considered and the application is rejected without further communication. Colleges are assessed only for the number of seats they apply for; NMC does not offer fewer seats instead.
Fees and bank guarantee

| 150 | ₹22.5 lakh + 18% GST | ₹18.75 lakh + 18% GST | ₹25 crore |

Getting your equipment list ready
Because the equipment must be installed and working before you apply, and NMC now asks for a department-wise list, start with one organised list for every department. Our department lists and list builder give you that list, and Unnat Exports quotes it item by item with GST.
