Pathology
The Pathology department teaches the study of disease in the second year of MBBS and runs much of the hospital's diagnostic laboratory work.
Its work is usually organised into histopathology, cytology, haematology and clinical pathology, plus student laboratories and a museum. Histopathology needs grossing stations, tissue processors, embedding stations, microtomes and stainers. Haematology needs cell counters and coagulometers. Student laboratories need binocular microscopes, glassware and reagents, and the museum needs specimen jars, display cabinets and seating.
The list below groups these items the same way, so each section of the department can be planned and quoted separately.
