Biochemistry

The Biochemistry department teaches the chemistry of the body in the first year of MBBS and usually supports the hospital's clinical biochemistry laboratory.

Student practical laboratories rely on colorimeters, water baths, centrifuges, pH meters, balances, glassware and reagents. The clinical laboratory adds semi-automatic and fully automatic analysers, electrolyte analysers, ELISA readers and refrigerators for reagents. Departments that run PG courses or research often add electrophoresis, chromatography, PCR and spectrophotometry equipment.

Furniture for the laboratory, demonstration room and offices is listed separately so you can plan it together with the equipment.
